Dr. Hussain Al-Enezi, Urology Specialist at KOC’s Ahmadi Hospital, recently chaired a discussion session at the annual conference of the American Urological Association (AUA). The event took place in New Orleans from May 13-16, 2022.
Dr. Al-Enezi’s participation at the conference took place after he received an official invitation from Association Board Member Dr. John Denstedt to lead a session about the latest developments related to Kidney Stone Diseases titled: “Kidney Stones: Surgical Treatment Including Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy.”
The session chaired by Dr. Al-Enezi held discussions and exchanged views on the latest developments in this field. The study that was discussed at the conference concluded that the use of a combination of shock waves and physical vibrations from outside the body is safe and produces the desired results in patients suffering from urinary tract stones.
This is the first time that a Kuwaiti doctor specializing in Urology has received such an appreciation from the American Urological Association. This achievement is also part of the coordinated efforts made by Ahmadi Hospital doctors and staff to maintain a leadership position in their fields of specialization, in harmony with the comprehensive strategic objectives of KOC, which include a commitment to leadership in all areas of its work.
