(KUNA) -- Director of the Farwaniya Health Region, Dr. Walid Al-Busairi, said that human health represents the cornerstone of people's progress and well-being, and that scientific research is the first step in finding solutions to the diseases and health problems that society suffers from.
Al-Busiri, representative of the sponsor of the 15th Annual Kuwaiti Urology Conference, Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, explained in his opening speech to the conference today, Friday, that the Ministry has given great attention to urology diseases through the Sabah Al-Ahmad Kidney and Urology Center.
He pointed to the importance of scientific research conferences and the recommendations emanating from them that link the research and applied aspects of medical practice, indicating that the organization of the conference and its continuity over 15 years is a testament to the support and great importance that the Ministry attaches to all medical meetings and conferences in various specialties.
He believed that it is also an embodiment of the ministry's tireless endeavor to keep pace with the rapid progress in various medical specialties and to enhance medical cooperation between Kuwait and the most prestigious regional and international medical centers with the aim of pushing the medical sector to more excellence.
He affirmed MOH's concern and belief that improving the efficiency of physicians and specialists by enabling them to familiarize themselves with the latest protocols and modern methods of diagnosis and treatment is one of the pillars of upgrading services at the Ministry.
Al-Busiri said that the workshops accompanying the conference sessions would open new horizons in the treatment and diagnosis of urological diseases, expressing hope that the conference would reach results and recommendations that serve the health sector.
For his part, the head of the Kuwaiti Urology Association, consultant urologist and conference chairman, Dr. Dalim Al-Hajri, said that the activities will discuss the most important developments and findings of science and scientific research related to the field of urology, how to treat it, and men's health.
Al-Hajri indicated that the conference aims to keep abreast of all new developments in the field of urology diseases in the world and the latest equipment in this field in the global market to improve and raise the level of health services in Kuwait.
